The Lymphatic Brush + Protective Case
The handle and protective case are made from 100% recycled materials. The bristles are 100% vegan and made with durable, moisture resistant poly fibers; designed to withstand repetitive use, while maintaining their shape and softness.
Lymph brushing for the body can entail a full-body ritual that takes about 10 minutes or you can focus on specific areas of the body. We love to perform this ritual after bathing while the skin is clean and still warm.
LYMPH COLLECTION POINTS
The final destination for all lymphatic fluid of the body is the right lymphatic duct and the thoracic duct, both nestled underneath the collarbones at the base of the neck. Imagine the head and neck functioning somewhat like a funnel. There are also collection points throughout the body located under the arms, in the groin area and behind the knees. While in the shower or bath, you can begin to stimulate these areas with your hands using light pressure and gentle circular massage strokes.
BRUSH STROKES
When using The Lymphatic Brush, brush in strokes that move toward each collection point on your body. Focus on the arms, legs, and torso. We suggest 5–10 strokes per area. Moving towards the center of your body, towards your heart is another helpful way to remember which direction the strokes should go.
BODY OIL APPLICATION
After finishing the body brushing, apply 1-2 pumps of California Body Oil to each area, using long, sweeping strokes in the same direction as the brushing. For the Body Oil to absorb and hydrate more deeply, apply in combination with a Hydrosol application first. We recommend Calendula or Rosemary as strong pairings with this ritual.
CLEANING YOUR BRUSH
Cleanse your brush with warm water and a small amount of gentle cleanser, then let it air dry. Do not leave the brush soaking in water.
