Oil Cleanser is a clarifying cleansing ritual for skin that needs movement. This brightening oil cleanser dissolves pore congestion and lifts debris while encouraging circulation, reducing puffiness, and evening skin tone. Rather than relying on force or foam, it works by affinity, revitalizing dull skin. Fresh, raw, unrefined, skin-compatible oils and medicinal whole plants clarify and nourish, leaving skin clear, bright, and vibrant.

Oil Cleanser is composed of 12 medicinal plants, creating a cleanser that not only cleanses the surface tissue but works much like oil pulling for the skin, encouraging lymphatic flow, circulation, release, and renewal. This is a product that transforms routine into ritual, with grounding and ethereal aromatics that inspire a slower pace.

The cleansing oils in this formula, including raw, unrefined SAFFLOWER, SUNFLOWER, and SESAME, were chosen specifically for the size and shape of their fatty acid profiles. Together, they create an ideal balance: small enough to move into pores and loosen congestion, yet substantial enough to allow for slow massage and effective release. Oils that are too heavy cannot cleanse thoroughly, while oils that absorb too quickly cannot draw debris out. This precise combination allows impurities and makeup to lift to the surface without stripping or disrupting the barrier.

The matriarch of self-care, the inhalation of ROSEMARY interacts with the limbic system, turns cleansing into a ritual, and allows for a deeper release. Rosemary encourages movement and flow to blood circulation and lymph, reducing puffiness, and supporting systems of nourishment and detoxification. The primary brightener in this formula is TURMERIC evening skin tone, and bringing clarity to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Plants to balance the skin’s lipid barrier and microbiome, CALENDULA, TAMANU, and BLACK CUMIN are traditionally associated with regeneration, calming, and soothing repair, and provide broad antioxidant protection.

Essential oils play a larger role in this product than most in the Laurel Skin line due to their ability to immediately impact the nervous system, putting it into a state of parasympathetic, enhancing the skin’s ability to both release and receive. A custom distillation of bright non-photosensitizing GREEN MANDARIN blended with YLANG YLANG and NEROLI inspires relaxation and both mental and physical unwinding.

USAGE
Dispense 3-4 pumps onto fingertips and apply to dry skin. Massage well around congested areas and makeup. Apply a warm, steamy towel and gently wipe away dirt, makeup, and excess oil. Repeat towel removal step 1-2 more times, if needed. Oil Cleanser can be used daily on some skin types, but for most, we suggest it be used as a weekly or bi-weekly deep cleansing ritual.

RITUAL
Oil Cleanser is best used slowly, allowing a bit of time and gentle massage to encourage the release of tense facial muscles. Apply to dry skin and massage into the face, jaw, neck, and chest using slow, loving movements. The movement of the hands and the aromatic oils help release tension and invite circulation and lymphatic movement to areas that often become stagnant when stressed.

After a longer massage of 5–10 minutes, use a warm, steamy cloth to gently wipe away most of the cleanser. Rinse and rewarm the cloth to repeat warm cloth compressions, pressing firmly into the skin. Pause at the temples, along the neck, and across the shoulders, relaxing the skin and muscles.

Use within six months of opening and before the recommended use-by date on the bottom of the bottle. Store in a cool, dry, and dark place.
