Our first-ever Founder’s Apothecary: Petal Ceremony.

A collector’s capsule that reflects Laurel’s current personal ritual.

This hand-numbered, 8-piece collection includes micro-batches of exclusive formulas, rare ingredients, and ceremonial pieces. This glimpse into Laurel’s working seasonal practice includes formulas not yet released and covetable ingredients meant to be savored.

Each set is housed in an artisan flower-covered box, with each flower represented in the collection itself. Included is the Petal Ceremony, shared step-by-step, along with a personal letter from Laurel and educational petal medicine art. Created to be kept, treasured, and carried forward over time.

Ceremonial Blossoms Facial Compress (4oz) ⏐ Collection Exclusive
A blend of vibrant, colorful, whole flowers for warm compressing, infusing the skin with the vital nutrients of the plants.

California Rose Single Farm Hydrosol (50ml)
An artisan distillation of fresh California Roses. Hydrating, firming and toning, with a strengthening effect on the skin’s barrier.

Petal Alchemy (30ml)
A serum made entirely from whole flowers, our only formula of its kind, infused into raw, unrefined oils. Our most moisturizing and plumping serum formula.

Gardenia Solid Enfleurage (5ml) ⏐ Collection Exclusive
A slow-farmed enfleurage of Gardenia. This rare piece from Laurel’s apothecary captures the true aromatics of the flower through daily harvesting of fresh blossoms over the course of six months.

Organic Olivia – Flowers for My Love (60ml)⏐ Collection Exclusive
A rose-centered internal formula, extending the ritual beyond the skin. Calming and supportive, it encourages compassion and deeper connection.

Handmade by a small woman-owned business, this cotton muslin cloth has been created with an intentional size and thickness for warm compressing.

The Founder’s Apothecary: Spring 2026 is centered around the Petal Ceremony. A slow, restorative ritual designed to soften the skin, open the heart and invite in an effortless appreciation for our own beauty.

Full guidance for the ceremony is included within each set, through a step-by-step ritual from Laurel.

THE POTENT MEDICINE OF FLOWERS
This collection is centered around the medicine of flowers and petals. What’s shared here is a small selection, those that shape the character of the ritual and appear throughout the formulas.

JASMINE
Too delicate for traditional steam distillation, we work with a master aromatherapist who captures the true essence of the Jasmine flower through a multi-step process. Daily hand-harvests, infusions, and slow hydrodistillation eventually lead to this living plant water that softens, soothes, and replenishes, carrying the aromatic imprint of the flower and a playful, wild spirit.

HEIRLOOM ROSE
Heirloom varieties grown in Northern California exclusively for Laurel Skin. Hydrating, barrier-supportive, and strengthening to collagen and elastin, Rose brings suppleness and resilience to the skin, soft, feminine, and heart-opening.

GARDENIA
Fresh Gardenia blossoms, gathered daily and slowly infused over six months by a California artisan perfumer. The scent opens boldly, then softens, inviting intuition, openness, and expanded perspective, with an otherworldly, ethereal presence. For the skin, Gardenia strengthens the skin barrier, providing moisture and firmness.

CORNFLOWERS
Grown by a local farmer and given freely and abundantly by the land, Cornflower is recognized by its vibrant cerulean petals and antioxidant-rich, soothing nature. Restorative and gently hydrating, it supports the skin while encouraging compassion, patience, and clear, open expression.

CALENDULA
A bright, sun-filled flower known for its ability to soothe and repair the skin. Protective and replenishing, Calendula helps defend against environmental stress, warm, generous, and alive with friendship, kindness, and laughter.

BORAGE
A steady, restorative flower known for its ability to soothe and support the skin as it repairs. Firming, barrier-supportive, and moisturizing, Borage restores balance and resilience. Borage energetics are pensive, wise, and rooted in introspection and inner peace.

There seems to be a natural curiosity that surrounds any maker: What products are they actually using?

For me, it’s always shifting. My bathroom shelves are filled with early versions of products that I’m in the process of creating …handwritten labels of experimental blends for my own personal use.

There are new ingredients to be explored and rare, limited ingredients that require savoring. These micro batches shape my personal skin ritual, and shift it season after season. For the first time, I felt inspired to include you to experience my own skin ritual – to share in that exploration and discovery with me. With our first ever Founder’s Apothecary collection.

It has truly been a joy to create the Petal Ceremony – to collaborate on something so beautiful with my team – something with so many moving parts. It has come together in a way I could only dream of in the beginning. Our designer Maria has brought each flower-centered piece to fruition in a breathtaking way; and our copywriter Elle has poetically brought to life the words from the flowers. Discussions over many months tied in the handmade facial towel and Organic Olivia’s tincture – this Ceremony was further developed by all of our experiences with flowers in different forms.

And then there was our team at our Petaluma Barn – who assembled each handmade box, labeled and wrapped each jar, and hand-numbered each collection. It has been such a beautiful and collaborative process from start to finish. I will never forget it. I hope you love it, because I’m already dreaming up the next one.
