Unlike isolated vitamin C, whole-plant sources deliver the full nutrient profile of the plant. This means your skin is getting that vital nutrient alongside its naturally occurring flavonoids, carotenoids, and supportive co-factors, creating a more complete and bioavailable expression of vitamin C. Potent yet gentle, these vibrant botanicals help brighten, repair, and protect the skin through the sunniest months of the year without the irritation and sensitization of conventional vitamin C.

HYDRATING ELIXIR C
Hydrating Elixir C pairs our rare artisan-distilled JASMINE hydrosol with multiple herbalist-made HIBISCUS infusions from freshly harvested fruit. Together with whole-plant extracts of CAMU CAMU, SEA BUCKTHORN, and ROSEHIP fruit and seed, this special Elixir provides whole-plant vitamin C alongside its naturally occurring flavonoids, carotenoids, and supportive co-factors for a potent, full-spectrum approach to skin brightening and hydration replenishment.

RADIANCE COMPOUND
Radiance Compound centers around triple-infused HIBISCUS and CAMU CAMU, two of nature’s richest sources of whole-plant vitamin C. BILBERRY and ELDERBERRY contribute a diverse spectrum of antioxidant flavonoids, while PAPAYA SEED provides gentle enzymatic activity to support smooth, refined skin. Together, these sun-loving plants promote a brighter, more even complexion without stripping or compromising the skin barrier.

USAGE
STEP 1: HYDRATE
Shake Elixir well with each use and mist directly and generously onto clean skin. Follow with Compound application while skin is still damp.

STEP 2:TREAT
Shake Compound well before each use; for best results, empty dropper fully prior to shaking. After a generous mist of Elixir, apply 1-2 drops of Compound to damp skin; can be applied all over or as a spot treatment. Follow with Serum and/or Balm.

SENSITIVITY NOTE
Our Compounds are not recommended for reactive skin (with the exception of Soothe Compound).

Due to the phytonutrient potency of our Compounds, we do not recommend them for those who are brand new to Laurel Skin, but rather for those who are already using a Laurel Skin ritual with ease.

RITUAL
We especially love this ritual in the evening. Together, these formulas gently brighten and refine skin after a day of sun exposure and environmental stress. Rich in protective flavonoids and whole-plant vitamin C, they allow restorative phytonutrients to settle into the skin overnight, supporting brightening, refinement, and repair. Follow the usage steps above and finish with your favorite Laurel Serum and/or Balm to complete the ritual.

Store these products in a cool, dry, and dark place. Use within 6 months of opening and by the recommended use-by date, which can be found on the bottom of each bottle.

FLAVONOIDS + WHOLE PLANT VITAMIN C
There is no debate that Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is beneficial to the skin. However, Vitamin C doesn’t exist in isolation in the plant world; rather, it co-exists amongst many helpful co-factors. The presence of other phytochemicals such as Flavonoids, Vitamin E, and Carotenoids work synergistically with Vitamin C. One of the most helpful co-constituents is Flavonoids, which are molecules that regulate cellular activity and neutralize free radicals. Every amazing thing that Vitamin C accomplishes, it does so with the help of flavonoids. Flavonoids are the real stars of the show, in my opinion! Flavonoids work with Vitamin C synergistically in several ways: providing an effective delivery system, metabolizing Vitamin C post-oxidation, and reducing the amount of Vitamin C that is needed by each cell.
