Bright, berry-red HIBISCUS CALYX  lies at the center of the formula with three variations of cold infusions capturing this succulent-like plant’s full spectrum of vitamin C, flavonoids, and alpha hydroxy acids. This brightening combination gently refines and resurfaces, leaving the skin soft and even-toned.

Raw CAMU CAMU, one of the most concentrated vitamin C sources in the world, is prepared with great care to keep its delicate antioxidant stable. This essential nutrient is known as a key player in collagen synthesis, brightening skin tone, and countering intracellular oxidative stress.

Superfoods BILBERRY and ELDERBERRY assist with firmness and elasticity, with ferulic acid, resveratrol, and anthocyanins – phytonutrients proven to improve the skin’s response to free radicals and reduce chronic inflammation. USAGE
Laurel Skin Compounds are designed to be used after a Hydrating Elixir application.

Shake well before each use; for best mixing results, empty dropper fully prior to shaking. After misting skin generously with a Hydrating Elixir, apply 2-3 drops of Compound onto fingertips and press into damp skin, including face, neck, and chest. Follow with Serum and/or Balm.

SENSITIVITY NOTE
Our Compounds are not recommended for reactive skin (with the exception of Soothe Compound).

Due to the phytonutrient potency of our Compounds, we do not recommend them for those who are brand new to Laurel Skin, but rather for those who are already using a Laurel Skin ritual with ease.

RITUAL
Double the brightening power. When addressing chronic hyperpigmentation, consider a multi-layered topical approach. Using the Radiance Compound daily addresses surface-level unevenness through its gentle enzymes and acids, in addition to a boost of vitamin C, while the Brighten Compound includes plants for deep-seated inflammation, free radical looping, and melanin balancing. Try using the Brighten Compound in the morning to enhance resilience to the elements during the day, and Radiance Compound in the evening for daily refinement and replenishment. It is also fine to layer Radiance followed by Brighten within the same ritual.

Store this product in a cool, dry, and dark place. Use within 6 months of opening and by the use-by date found on the bottom of the bottle.

HIBISCUS
Hibiscus contains high amounts of whole plant vitamin C, naturally occurring AHAs, and vital flavonoids that enhance the activity of vitamin C. Our house-made macerations use fresh Hibiscus calyxes to ensure maximum vitamin C presence and potency. These synergistic phytochemicals brighten the skin and repair free radical damage.

CAMU CAMU
Raw, organically cultivated Camu Camu is one of the highest plant sources of vitamin C in the world. Using it in its whole-plant form ensures the presence of all the beneficial cofactors that make ascorbic acid more effective to support collagen production, skin brightening, and cellular repair.

BILBERRY + ELDERBERRY: Manganese, magnesium, ferulic acid, anthocyanin, caffeic acid, and resveratrol are abundant in these tiny, inky blue and purple berries, providing the building blocks necessary for collagen integrity and healthy connective tissue.  Arbutin, a relative of hydroquinone, is a notable nutrient that suppresses overactive melanin production in the skin. Colorful flavonoids and abundant antioxidants within these berries protect from free radical damage, reduce chronic inflammation, and build resilience from sun damage.

PAPAYA SEED
The naturally occurring enzymes in Papaya Seed are gentler exfoliators than those in the fruit. Those familiar antioxidants of ferulic acid and caffeic acid are also found in Papaya Seed, along with helpful lipids and polysaccharides for nutrient absorption.

BLOOD ORANGE
This aromatic citrus hydrosol is freshly distilled for Laurel Skin in the Pacific Northwest. Our citrus steam distillations do not contain any phytochemicals that cause photosensitivity. It’s All About the Flavonoids
