Comfrey – Comfrey leaf mimics our skin’s stem cells, promoting rapid epithelial cell growth, much like retinol. It’s a superior regenerator, providing essential nutrients for healthy cell and tissue creation, unlike conventional options. Abundant in allantoin, Comfrey restores elasticity and firmness. It is unapologetically abundant and sprawling, a lesson in resilience and transformation.
Nettle – A wild superfood that is rich in hundreds of plant constituents including vitamins A, B, C, D, E, and K. It’s high in essential minerals like iron, calcium, zinc, and magnesium, along with potent antioxidants such as ferulic acid, quercetin, and caffeic acid. This powerhouse leaf nourishes cells with all the building blocks needed for healthy functioning, including collagen production and new cell growth. As a tonic herb, Nettle can significantly enhance health by delivering these vital nutrients.
Lemon Balm – Also known as Melissa, this nutrient-rich leafy weed in the mint family contains phytochemicals and anti-inflammatory compounds that diminish oxidative damage and revitalize skin quality. Constituents like catechin, chlorogenic acid, and rosmarinic acid contribute to its effectiveness as an ally in vibrant aging.
Rose Geranium – A well-rounded herbal skin queen that benefits and balances all skin types. Medicinal terpene compounds from the leaf and sweet pink flower strengthen, plump, and firm delicate skin. Acting as a humectant, it improves hydration retention and strengthens weak lipid barriers. Fragrant Rose Geranium soothes and repairs broken capillaries and balances the skin’s microbiome.

TO USE: Laurel Skin Compounds are designed to be used after a Hydrating Elixir application.
Shake before each use. After misting skin generously with a Hydrating Elixir and applying any other chosen Compound, apply 1-2 drops of Vitality Compound to damp skin. Follow with Serum and/or Balm.
Use AM and/or PM as a full-face application. As a lipid-based formula, Vitality Compound should be applied last—after any other chosen Compounds.
NOTE: Vitality Compound is not recommended for reactive or very sensitive skin. We do not recommend our potent herbal Compounds for those who are brand new to Laurel Skin, but rather for those who are already using a Laurel Skin ritual with ease. Our Compounds are for those who celebrate the power of plants and prefer them over all other synthetic interventions.

Weed Medicine
But not the kind you think!
Weeds are quite possibly the most resilient, bold, and powerful plants on Earth. In herbalism, they’re often the most nutrient-dense, hearty, and robust. They are tonic medicines capable of creating real, lasting shifts in chronic conditions.
They’re also healers of the land. While we may not always see them this way, weeds often appear in areas damaged by pesticides, monocropping, or overdevelopment. They restore balance by bringing a diversity of nutrients to depleted soil. They grow through cracks in sidewalks and thrive in parking lots. I mean, that is true power!
Skincare is no different. Our skin needs the same level of nourishment to stay strong, resilient, and healthy—especially in the face of daily stressors, environmental strain, and modern life. To thrive under any condition, our skin deserves the kind of robust, intelligent support that only wild weeds can offer.
When we use something like retinol or a stem cell serum, we’re placing demands on the skin to proliferate without necessarily supplying the nutrients it needs to do so. Over time, this can lead to nutrient depletion in the dermis. Weed Medicine does both: it encourages healthy cell turnover and delivers the essential nutrients required to sustain it.
So next time you are about to pull a weed out of your garden bed, consider why it has shown up for you. Is it bringing some nutrients you might need?
