“Forest bathing” is a natural practice with scientifically proven health benefits. Many of us engage in it instinctively during hikes or when we spend time in Nature. Don’t let the term “bathing” fool you, forest bathing is most simply defined as immersing oneself in Nature. The act of surrounding yourself with trees has a profoundly positive impact on our nervous system, immune system, cardiovascular system and overall well-being. When we forest bathe, we steep in the aromatic compounds released by trees and immerse ourselves in the rich forest microbiome.
Our Forest Bath blend captures the healing forest and allows you take it with you wherever you go. We recommend using Forest Bath as a body mist, a room spray, or linen spray. Breathe in the scent of the forest to ground and center yourself when you can’t be physically among the trees.
This blend includes Coastal Redwood from a nearby biodynamic farm miles from our Petaluma Barn. Cypress, Cedar, and a hint of Rosemary are all distilled with Rose Quartz. A blend of organically cultivated and distilled Ponderosa Pine and Douglas Fir from a farm partner in the Pacific Northwest combined with earthy Sandalwood from a family reforestation farm in Hawaii. This healing forest blend is mesmerizing as it captures the bountiful and diverse native flora that grows in the lush Pacific Northwest.
In combination with Anointing Oil: Spiritual Warrior, this grounding hydrosol blend makes a lovely gift for a meditation altar or a busy office desk.
A note about our sacred Coastal Redwoods: The Coastal Redwood used in this blend is distilled from fallen limbs and other reciprocal harvesting methods that preserve the beautiful forest lands of our local farm partner. A portion of the profits from our Forest Bath go to Save the Redwoods League, who actively work to protect the majestic Redwood forests of California.

Single Farm Hydrosols – Our hydrosols are distilled exclusively for Laurel Skin by master distillers in small batches. They also happen to be distilled by the same individuals who farm and harvest them. These rare hydrosols take on the aromatic compounds of the plants, as well as the soul of the plants and land. We feel this blend perfectly captures the essence of the forest, and the dedication of the distillers and farmers elevates the experience.

Shake product well with each use and mist directly on to body, linens, or throughout the room and space. Inhale deeply. Repeat.
Store this product in a cool, dry, and dark place. Use within 6 months of opening and within the use by date noted on the bottom of the bottle.

Forest Meditation
My favorite way to use the Forest Bath is in my morning meditation ritual. I begin by misting my space before sitting. Then I apply one drop of Spiritual Warrior to my wrists and take a deep inhale. I care for these plants as if they are my family– they are my companions and support my journey here on this Earth plane. I do my best to stay focused on my breath and body for a period of anywhere between two and ten minutes. I find that when I lose my way in thought, I am often pulled back to present moment by the aroma of one of the plants. This gift is a gentle nudge from them. As I finish, I spray the Forest Bath again, rejuvenated and invigorated to begin the day.
